ABOUT ME

Hi, friend!

Allow me to introduce myself a bit more casually. My name is Valkyrie, and I am a native Nashvillian eager to help bring your photos to the next level. I am an internationally published professional model with over 10 years of experience both in front of and behind the camera. That’s right- I’m also a photographer! In fact, photography was my segue into the modeling world. Because of this, I have ample knowledge of lighting, posing, and an intuitive understanding of what does and doesn’t translate well through the lens. In addition, I am a professional dancer trained in many styles such as ballet, modern, jazz, musical theatre, and hip hop. I attribute my ability to take direction adeptly to my extensive dance training. However, I also free-pose with ease if preferred. With an extensive wardrobe and styling kit including two large, high quality pairs of angel wings (one black, one white) and a claymore sword (as well as many other stylized items and accessories), I am able to accommodate a vast spectrum of concepts. I'm a trained makeup artist as well! Please communicate at the time of booking your requirements/requests for your project, and I will provide as much as I am able.

Let's get down to it!

*if multiple photographers wish to shoot during our session, 50/hr per additional photographer applies.

To book, I require a non refundable retainer of 25% to secure the date and time on my schedule. This may be done via Venmo, Cashapp, or Paypal. Your session date and time is not secure until I receive the retainer. Once received, I will message you an acknowledgement within 24 hours and your session will be on my schedule. The balance is due the day of our session. If you cancel within a week of our session date without rescheduling at that time, a cancellation fee of $75 applies. If you cancel within 48 hours of our session date without rescheduling at that time, the full balance of our session is due. This policy is because of the difficulty of finding a replacement booking on such short notice.

If you reschedule our session more than twice for any reason, I will cancel our session and your retainer will not be refunded. I suggest having a "plan B" in place  (including securing a studio space, if necessary) for any sessions that are weather dependent. If in the unlikely event of sickness/emergency I need to cancel our session, you will be refunded your retainer in full.

We will communicate via your preferred method (Instagram, Model Mayhem, or email) to establish the details of our session. The week prior I will send you a reminder of our session. If I do not receive communication from you within a few days of my reminder message, I will send another. If I have yet to receive a response from you at 48 hours prior to our session, it is considered cancelled.

I will travel up to 80 miles one way for local sessions. If I am traveling over 50 miles (one way) for our session, a travel fee of $100 applies.

If you are interested in hiring me for a workshop or event that is uniquely structured or is out of state/my local scope, message me details and we can discuss our options.

LIMITATIONS

If you follow me on Tiktok (link here), you already know that I take model safety very seriously. Please respect all boundaries during our session so that we may work comfortably and efficiently together. Please ask permission before making any adjustments where physical contact is necessary- even for small instances such as a stray hair or slight garment adjustment. (In most cases a model can make whatever the adjustment may be themself with verbal direction, a mirror, or if necessary, the help of their assistant- if present).

On wardrobe coverage:

Implied is my limit. I will not shoot fully nude or with breasts/private areas exposed. All private areas must be covered by hair, another body part, strategic posing, placement of prop, or remain in full shadow/silhouette for all images.

On posing:

I will not pose myself or allow myself to be directed into any erotic or even remotely pornographic poses. I will not accept concepts involving any sort of pornographic or fetish themes. My posing style leans into subtlety, emotion, sensuality, and has a dancer-like quality as that is my training and background. I don’t mind showing some skin when it's artistically beneficial, but If you’re looking for an OF/NSFW style model I’m certainly not the one for you and would advise booking with another model whose niche is so. I have many I would highly recommend and be happy to refer you to if that is what you are looking for.

Additionally, while posing on and with furniture is fine, I will not pose on a bed for implied concepts and for most boudoir/glamour work. Some exceptions may be made for my more conservative wardrobe options within the genre, such as certain pinup or period concepts- all subject to my discretion. This would require a more in depth discussion of your project.

Are you available for trade work?

-No. I will occasionally attend trade workshops/group shoots when my availability allows.

Where do you source your wardrobe from?

-Here, there, and everywhere! I can frequently be found perusing thrift stores and antique malls for unique finds, but a large portion of my wardrobe is from exchange events with fellow industry professionals, as well as old dance costumes that have been repurposed.

What genre(s) is your specialty?

-Fantasy and Dance. I've always been drawn to the fashion and otherworldliness of fantasy, and use it quite often in my own photographic work; as a dancer, I enjoy being able to tell stories through movement and incorporating dance technique into modeling.

Will you film behind-the-scenes footage of our session?

-In most cases, yes. If my assistant is present they will be capturing BTS content for BOTH of us. If my assistant is not present, I have a phone tripod that I will set up quickly and ensure it will not be in your way.

Will you bring an assistant to our session?

-It depends. I do bring an assistant at times, both for safety purposes and to help keep things running smoothly. The assistants I bring are reputable, extremely familiar/comfortable with the process, and will not disrupt the flow of the photoshoot. They are present to aid the flow of our session, not hinder it. I am both willing and able to provide photographer references for my assistant if requested. If you are averse to an assistant being present at our session, we will not work together.

Are you willing to pose with another model or models?

-100%. I love working with fellow models. As long as all parties understand and respect each other's boundaries regarding posing, coverage level, physical contact, etc. then there will be no issues. The more the merrier!
